THIS JUST IN! - New NBC HERO
posted May 28, 2009
We always knew she was a hero to Universal Signs. It was just announced
that Deanne Bray is the NEW HERO for NBC's hit show HEROES. This is
the first time that a Deaf actress will be in a re-occurring STARRING
ROLE
on a major television network. Deanne worked her hero magic and easily
beat out the competition.

Michael Smerconish, the premiere talk radio host in Philadelphia, says, "I
loved [Universal Signs]. I'm giving it 3 1/2 out of 4 Stars!" Ann
Calamia, Universal Signs' writer and director, was a guest on his show.
There was lighthearted banter about the fact that Michael was Ann's high
school graduation speaker at Central Bucks High School West. Also, Ann
shared with the audience that Universal Signs is a hopeful, uplifting story
that embodies timeless wisdom and celebrates basic Judeo-Christian values
like love, connection, and forgiveness. Michael was impressed by the film's
great production value and that it was a really well done project. Want

Universal Signs Goes Back
To School
posted May 26, 2009
Back to the Ernest C. Drury school (ECD) that is! Anthony Natale is a
graduate of the ECD school in Milton, Ontario. As we were in Ontario
for the TIDFAF,
the school invited us to screen the film for their students. "The
students were simply bubbling," exclaimed Cindy Smith, principal
of the school. The students greatly enjoyed the film and meeting Anthony,
one of their own who has been so successful in Hollywood. The students
interviewed Ann Calamia, Catherine Miller, and Anthony Natale for the
school's
TV station. Allison, the student reporter, was excellent! She asked so
many thoughtful and insightful questions. She is one to watch for the
future, and we hope to see her on the news one day! Thank you to ALL
of the students,
teachers, administration and staff for welcoming Universal Signs! We
appreciate your love of the film and kindness to us. You mean so much!
Check out photos from the screening.
